The
past couple of years we’ve
tried to bring you high
quality trailers with modern
technology. Most of the trailers being sold today aren’t much different than those sold ten years ago. |
Cars no longer have bias ply tires,
incandescent lights or drum brakes
but most trailers do.
Our trailers have state of the art LED lights, radial tires, and now if you choose DISC BRAKES.
Tandem Axle DISC brakes in lieu of single axle drum $200 (Limited Time).
You can check the various web sites
for the many benefit of disc brakes.
Better stopping, less heat build up,
less service
(drum brakes should be serviced
regularly but never are on boat
trailers).
If you are traveling you will
definitely appreciate the
benefits of disc brakes.
If your trailer is for winter storage you’ll appreciate that there are no springs to rust over the winter.
You will have less trouble with drum brakes if you tow frequently. Condensation won’t build up in the bottom of the drum. On a storage trailer with drum brakes, the short trip from the ramp to a storage building often leaves water trapped in the drum. That water sits trapped in the bottom of the drum until it evaporates. It can corrode the springs and any parts it comes in contact with. If your drum brakes lock up they will require service.
